More Ministries

The Deacons assist the pastor in caring for the spiritual needs of the membership.  They visit those in the hospital, rehabs and nursing homes, and are in contact with those who are recuperating or going through a difficult time.  There are Stephen Ministers available for those who desire ongoing help.  Through Compassionate Connections volunteers they provide meals, rides and other services to those who need them.

Hurricane Homes matches hosts and guests and they maintain a telephone tree to make sure all are aware when a hurricane approaches.  The Deacons support a prayer chain, prayer shawl ministry and provide a bereavement coordinator for memorial services.

The membership list is reviewed and they participate in an evaluation of the pastor’s ministry annually.

They prepare and serve Communion.
